Got questions about Menlo?

I chose Menlo because my two brothers go to Menlo. I saw, first hand, what a great time they are having. Based on that, I thought that Menlo would be a good fit for me. My brothers did so many fun activities like flag football, soccer, sport dance, and learned how to play the ukulele.
I enjoy the community and how you can get help from teachers easily. I also enjoy having the opportunity to make new friends and explore things. Menlo provides opportunities for students to try new things in athletics and in the creative arts.
One of the challenges I have faced at Menlo has been distance learning. It has been difficult to stay organized. And, at the same time, it has been a bit tough to stay focused. It’s very different when you are not in the classroom with your teachers and classmates.
An extracurricular activity I participate in is playing for a soccer club called Alpine Strikers. I have especially enjoyed this because, even during Covid-19, I have been able to see people in person and play soccer. Without this 3-4 times a week, I would have not been able to make it through quarantine so far. I am really grateful that I still can do things such as this.
My favorite class this year has been drawing. Before this, I had no idea that I could draw something that could actually look good. My favorite class last year was Science because I really liked being able to experiment and do projects.
The Menlo community is special to me because I really feel at home when I’m on the Menlo campus. I also like that I can see my friends often. It’s a great place to learn and make friends.
