Upper School Mathematics

Mathematics Teacher and Department Chair

Biography

I was lucky enough to join Menlo’s faculty in 2003 and since then have been teaching various math courses in the Upper School, including Geometry, Algebra II, Principles of Pre-Calculus, Analytic Pre-Calculus, Statistics, and Calculus.

After receiving my BS in Mathematics from Dartmouth College, I worked for two years as an analyst and consultant at Mercer Management Consulting in San Francisco. I then joined an education start-up focused on online education. When my husband started business school on the East Coast in 2001, I moved with him and began my teaching career in Mathematics. I taught Mathematics and coached the varsity tennis team at Springside School just outside Philadelphia.

When I am not teaching and working with students, most of the time is spent raising and having fun with my four children. I also enjoy running, swimming, biking, skiing, playing soccer, cooking, reading and attending a plethora of Stanford sporting events.
