Biography

I believe that photography and animation are at the intersection of art and technology. I have spent my career in either art, technology, or creating opportunities to blend both.

After receiving my master’s degree in visual and media arts from Emerson College in Boston, I returned to my former high school to work as a technology specialist. There I discovered my love for teaching and assisting both students and teachers in all things tech. I relocated to Los Angeles and spent 7 years teaching media arts, film, animation, and sound design at the Windward School. Windward did not have any of those classes when I arrived and I am proud of the program I started there. Last year, I moved from Los Angles to San Francisco, where I took on the role of technology coordinator at St. Cecilia School. Ultimately I missed teaching and forming meaningful relationships with students. I knew I had to get back to the classroom!

In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, and exploring my new home in the Bay Area.
