2018-2019 New Trustees (left to right): Linda Wythes Knoll ’89, Jenn Miller, Steve Miller ’87, Jon Levin, Grady Burnett, April House, and Liz Weingart
and Ben ’25—and a son Noah who is in elementary school. Jon says, “My entire family believes in the power of education and in supporting great educational institutions. I hope serving on the board will be a way to help the School and hopefully do some good for an institution that we care about.”
MSPA Co-President for the Middle School Jennifer (Jenn) Miller is a Bay Area native who attended UCLA, where she earned a BA in English. After college, she worked in advertising and graphic design in San Francisco, Chicago, and New York. Jenn—with husband Steve ’87, who is also serving his first term as a Menlo Trustee—has four children, including recent Menlo grad Lindsay ’17 and current students Jack ’19, Megan ’20,
and Paige ’24. Jenn has been an active Menlo and community volunteer and is looking forward to her MSPA leadership role this year. She says, “I hope to continue to build our amazing Menlo community, be a resource for new and current Menlo parents, and serve as an effective and positive liaison to the Menlo administration.”
A Menlo Class of ’87 grad, Steve Miller is an investment banker and the Executive Vice Chairman of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He works with leading public and private technology companies on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising.
Steve also serves as a nonprofit board member of the Riekes
Center and is a past board member of the Ravenswood Education Foundation. After Menlo, Steve went on to study business at USC and then earned his MBA in finance at the University of Chicago. Steve and his wife, Jenn, have four children: Lindsay ’17, Jack ’19, Megan ’20, and Paige ’24. As both an alum and a parent, Steve says, “I’ve watched the School innovate and successfully navigate many changes. The vision is excellent, and I look forward to helping set the strategic direction over the next several years.”
Liz Weingart, Upper School MSPA Co-President, graduated from UC Berkeley, where she majored in economics. She worked in healthcare economics for Kaiser Permanente and healthcare consulting for William M. Mercer before heading to medical school at Cornell Medical College and completing her residency
at Stanford University. Liz has been at home for the past 20 years raising four children with husband Jack, including Kendall ’20 and three recent Menlo grads—Katelyn ’14, Julia ’15, and John ’18. She has volunteered for various nonprofits in the community including SV2 and Team 4 Tech and runs a nonprofit supporting a school in rural Ghana. While at Menlo, she has served on grade-level teams as well as committees for the Valpo Fun Run, the Auction, and the Annual Fund. Liz says that she “looks forward to working with Menlo’s parents and the administration to continue fostering a strong community.”
