On June 6, the 138 members of
Menlo School’s Class of 2019 received their diplomas.
“Today is an inflection point in your own lives. But the world itself is undergoing an historic transition...Don’t just be observers of these trends. Act. Shape the future. Roll up your sleeves. Do the hard work. And get a little dirty. Don’t rely on being told. Seek out experiences. Take risks, especially while you can.” —Commencement speaker
Damon M. Wilson, Executive Vice President of the Atlantic Council
“I want to offer you the charge to consider that the gift of adulthood is the ability to write—and continuously rewrite—your own story. Now, this won’t always be easy... because stories are messy and complex and propelled by conflict...Stay connected to your desire and I promise your story will write itself.” —Faculty speaker Maren Adler, Upper School English Department Chair
