1950s Reunion Years: 1953 & 1958
In July, Mike Jackson ’50, retired Episcopal priest at St. Mark’s Cathedral, Seattle, ended 37 years of producing the weekly “TV Eucharist” program. To honor his ministry, he was made an Honorary Canon of St. Mark’s Cathedral in October.
For the second time in three years, China’s Supreme People’s Court invited retired Judge Leonard Edwards ’59 to a conference with China’s juvenile court judges, in Shenzen. ere, he led American experts in a discussion with Chinese o cials on improving the juvenile justice system in that country.
Robert Hahn ’59 retired from Santa Barbara High School a er 20 years as a teacher and counselor.
1960s Reunion Years: 1963 & 1968
A er Menlo’s girls basketball team beat Fortuna High School in Marin this fall, Bob Ireland ’61 sought out coach John Paye ’83 to introduce himself and share how much fun he’d had at homecoming the previous year.
1970s Reunion Years: 1973 & 1978
Ross Hite ’70 and Peter Cella ’70 discovered they would be in Austin, Texas, at the same time, and so they met for lunch at the famed Salt Lick BBQ.
1980s Reunion Years: 1983 & 1988
Christina Ienni ’86 is happier than ever since she came out as transgender in 2015. Some things, however, don’t change: Christina is, in her own words, “TOTALLY obsessed with synthesizers and electronic music.” Christina also recently celebrated her 50th birthday.

Ryan Enright, Jason Ward, Mark Newton, and Craig Weicker met up at Menlo’s CCS championship game against Gilroy on December 1. Mark and his wife, Menlo English teacher Whitney Newton, also welcomed a new baby, Jolene Lucille Newton, born October 18, 2017.
