Spring teams honored as CCS Scholastic Team champion, top 5
Boys’ lacrosse captures top spot
The Menlo boys’ lacrosse team is the Central Coast Section Scholastic champion, and three others are section top 5 with the highest collective grade-point averages in their respective sports.
Instituted in 1985, the CCS recognizes the top five varsity teams from each sport, and Menlo boys’ lacrosse finished with a 3.6494 GPA.
Baseball was fourth with a 3.531 GPA, boys’ swimming also fourth (3.715) and girls’ swimming fifth (3.712).
Earlier this school year, the girls’ basketball team was fourth with a GPA of 3.825. Football and girls’ water polo came in fifth, earning CCS fall Scholastic Team Awards.
