                                      “Today
was a very busy day
but also really exciting. It’s great
to be making a tangible difference at
Benjika School. I really enjoyed working with
my classmates and also the students from Benjika School. Although I feel like we have learned a lot about leadership and working with peers, it’s nice to help build another classroom for students. This trip has given me the opportunity to explore another part of the world but also learn a lot about myself. Today we came up with solutions and worked together to create an efficient system to get things done faster. The trip feels like it’s ending too soon, and I feel like there’s more I would like
to learn from the amazing people here.” —Michelle Louie ’20
“Through
this trip, I have
a greater and deeper appreciation for diversity and cultural advantages in the United States. I will never be able to look at my own life in the U.S. the same after living like typical Tanzanians. I have changed in the sense that everything in my life is 10 times better and more valuable.” —Ellen Cho ’20
