   2000s Reunion Years: 2003 & 2008 Lindsay (Wilner) Lippincott ’01 and her husband, Hunter,
welcomed their first child, Emma Grace, on September 27, 2017.
Andrea (Hafeman) Zider ’01 and husband Alex Zider welcomed Diana Vivian Zider on February 16, 2018. The Ziders also recently moved back to the Bay Area and live in Burlingame.
Courtlyn Schreiber Berkast ’03 and her partner, Misha Berkast, welcomed a daughter, Manhattan Sumara, on May 20, 2018.
In May, Andrea Schulz ’03 received a master of science in human resources management from the University of Southern
California
Elliot Tight ’04 married Elizabeth Layton on October 14, 2017, in Woodside, CA. Among members of the wedding party were
Patrick Lawler ’04, who served as best man, and groomsmen Andrew Tight ’06, Riley Tight ’10, Peter Tight ’12, Ben Forman ’04, Chuck Huggins ’04, Clay Madding ’04, Mark Powlen ’04, and David Pringle ’04.
On July 1, 2018, Hannah McCarthy Crowder ’04 and her husband, Matthew, celebrated the first birthday of their daughter, Jane Margaret.
Brittany Haas ’05 was nominated for the Instrumentalist of the Year Americana Music Award. A fiddler, Brittany graduated from Princeton University in 2009 and has played with the Dave Rawlings Machine and the house band for the NPR show Live from Here with Chris Thile (formerly called A Prairie Home Companion).
2010s Reunion Years: 2013
Julia Dressel ’13 made waves with her undergraduate thesis for Dartmouth University, which suggested that an algorithm used by some American courts to predict recidivism doesn’t do any better than small groups of untrained people. Giannina Ong ’13 was named the winner of Santa Clara University’s Student Life Award, presented annually to “the senior who has contributed to the overall quality of life in the University community.”
Sabrina Karlin ’14 was selected to receive the New York University Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute’s 2018 Anna and Peter Zenger Award. Each year, the award goes to the Institute’s highest ranking student for excellence in academia and reporting.
