The Menlo School flag football team kept its season undefeated streak alive at 16 with a 55-6 win over Notre Dame-San Jose in its home finale Wednesday,
The Knights have a 31-1 record dating back to its inaugural season last year, and have one game remaining: Valpo Bowl next week.
Knights sophomore quarterback/defensive back Ava Allen accounted for seven touchdowns. She threw two to senior Ellie Knoll, two to junior Sophie Housser, one each to senior Scarlett Bundy and junior Megan Mulloy. She also opened the game with a 5-yard keeper, then threw to Knoll for the two-point conversion. She also delivered two more two-point conversion passes to Housser.
Allen didn’t limit herself to offense - it was her interception that set up a 40-yard TD pass to Knoll.
Senior Mary Mahe completed a 5-yard pass to Mulloy then converted for another point to junior Marin Yamada for the final score.
