Volleyball claims pair of WBAL shutouts

Week of 9.29,2025: Knights roll past Harker, Notre Dame-San Jose

Menlo senior libero Ava Wang posted 31 digs in two league wins, surpassing the 1,000-career digs mark.

Sophomore outside Alex Fair led the Knights’ attack with 21 kills and five aces in a pair of wins.

The Menlo School volleyball team served up back-to-back, three-set victories, defeating Notre Dame-San Jose 25-11, 25-13, 25-23 on the road Friday.

Sophomore Alex Fair paced the attack with 10 kills on .391 hitting and had three aces for the Knights (4-2, 5-13). Junior Jamie Johnson delivered five aces, 18 assists and three kills. Freshman Gianna Goudey and senior Kinsey Nam each posted five kills and two blocks. Nam added nine digs.

Senior libero Ava Wang had eight digs and two assists. Sophomore Allison Yu pitched in with nine assists and three aces. Freshman Adrianna Ananyi picked up five kills on .444 hitting and added two blocks.

The Menlo volleyball team defeated host Harker 25-20, 25-18, 25-19 in a WBAL match Tuesday,

The Knights (3-2 league) got strong defense and serve reception from senior libero Ava Wang, who posted 23 digs and defensive specialist Eleanor Kinder, who had three aces and eight digs against the Eagles.

Senior middle Zoe Zdrodowski and freshman Adrianna Anyani paced the attack for Menlo combining for 10 kills.
