Girls’ tennis falls in CCS semifinals

Knights fall in CCS semis

The Menlo girls’ tennis team fell in a tight CCS semifinals match to Los Altos 4-3 on Saturday morning at Lynbrook.
The Knights finish the season with a lofty 23-4 overall mark, and one step away from returning to the section championship, where it met Los Altos last season. The Knights won the prestigious Point Loma Invitational with a match that came down to games won. They took a Tyler Nii Invitational among four defending section champions and were fourth at the Golden State Classic, featuring some of the top teams in the state and Hawaii.
Now, sisters Milla Bardony, a junior, and Leighton Bardony, a freshman, team up for the CCS Individual Tournament, which begins at noon Tuesday at Bay Club-Courtside.
