Menlo School baseball rolled past James Logan 11-1 Wednesday, then a day later, dropped a 12-4 decision to Los Gatos in Battle for Atherton games at home.

Senior Jack Freehill homered in both games. The first home run was a three-run shot in the final frame of a five-inning game against James Logan. Freehill drove in five runs on three of Menlo’s 12 hits. Fletcher Cahill and Matthew Majalya each drove in a pair of runs. Senior Jackson Flanagan allowed four hits, struck out three, throwing all five innings for the Knights (1-1)

On Thursday, against Los Gatos, Freehill hit a solo homer to give the Knights an early lead in the first. The Wildcats flipped the game with a five-run second and never looked back. Logan Tran posted three hits for Menlo.

The Knights play at Sacred Heart Prep on Saturday.
