The Menlo boys’ tennis team opened WBAL play with a 7-0 victory over Crystal at home Thursday.

The Knights (5-0) did not drop a set.

At No. 1 singles, freshman Miles Burnett defeated Lucas Li 6-2, 7-5 at No.1 singles 6-2, 7-5

Sophomore Dylan Kothari defeated Elden Kelm 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2. Freshmen Sage Ash defeated Carter Green 6-1, 6-1, and Menlo’s Alex Zhou beat Nikola Gurusweren 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles, junior David Lipeles and sophomore Sachin Vazirani won at No. 1 6-3, 7-5. Senior Matthew Franc and junior James Park took a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 and senior Brad Engel teamed with freshman Kenzo Kushida for a 6-3, 6-3 win.
