Onyejekwe sets record (again); distance relay 5th at Stanford

Sophomore breaks his own 110 hurdles record

Four Menlo track athletes set a school record and personal-bests at the Stanford Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

Sophomore Tres Onyejekwe broke how own school record in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.58 seconds, and took fourth place in the final. His previous-best was 14.60 set a few weeks ago at the John Owens Invitational.

Onyejekwe also ran the 400 hurdles in a school-best 54.33 to take bronze in the final. 

The distance medley relay team finished in fifth place with a time of 10:27.45. The Knights got a tremendous effort from all four legs.


Senior Amay Srinivasan ran the 1200m in 3:11, Maxwell Johnson the 400 in 54.27. Junior Joseph Hurd covered the 800 in 1:59 and sophomore Oliver Olbekson the 1600 in 4:22.
