​The top-seeded Menlo boys’ tennis team beat Los Gatos 6-1 at home Monday, and advance to play host to No. 4 seed Los Altos in Wednesday’s CCS semifinals.

The Knights (23-0) picked up singles wins as No. 1 Surya De Datta defeated Ethan Beal 6-2, 6-4. Menlo’s Lucas Huang swept Alex Fader 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 and David Lipeles defeated Oliver Kim 6-4, 6-4. Matthew Franc fell in a narrow loss to Ryan Shahalob 6-7 (3), 7-6 (6), 10-8 at No. 4.

In doubles, senior Arki Temsamani, junior Dylan Kothari and freshmen Alex Zhou, Maximus Chan, Miles Burnett and Sage Ash were the first off the courts with straight-sets victories.
