Biography

I am a California-based artist whose long and varied career in art includes biomedical illustration, children’s book illustration, scenic art for opera and youth theater, Chinese brush-painting, and plein-air painting. I earned my medical doctorate specializing in pathology but soon discovered my heart lay in creating art.

Since that time, I pursued my passion for art full time and share my passion for art by teaching students at Menlo. I encourage students to gain experience working with a variety of materials, both traditional and digital.

I draw inspiration from nature and enjoys hiking and painting outdoors in my spare time.
