Biography
My name is Valeria Causo Chalian, and I began my teaching career in 1994. I have extensive experience teaching Spanish to both children and adults, as well as English as a Second Language (ESL). My academic background includes university studies in Argentina, focusing on translation and Spanish instruction. I also hold a B.A. in Spanish from Arizona State University and I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Spanish.
Originally from Buenos Aires and raised in Patagonia, Argentina, I moved to California in 2002. Since then, I have had the privilege of working with a variety of schools and districts along the Peninsula, and I have loved every minute of it. My experience includes teaching homeschooled children, preparing high school students for AP Spanish exams, and providing private instruction for bilingual families. Additionally, I have taught adults from diverse professional backgrounds, emphasizing both grammar and conversational fluency.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, writing, watching movies, gardening, hiking, singing, listening to music, and spending time with my husband and two sons, Augusto and Lorenzo.
