Biography
I’m excited to begin my first year at Menlo School. Over the past 20 years, I’ve served in a variety of roles at Bay Area high schools—including athletics coach, student activities director, teacher, dean of students, assistant principal, and principal. Each of these experiences has deepened my commitment to student growth and reinforced the transformational role that high schools play in the lives of the students we serve.
I was born in El Salvador and immigrated to the United States with my family at a young age. I grew up in Southern California and later moved to the Bay Area to attend Saint Mary’s College of California, where I earned my bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and teaching credential. I’m proud to be the first in my family to attend and graduate from college.
I currently live in the East Bay with my wife and our 8-year-old son. Outside of school, I enjoy coaching sports, attending live sporting events, traveling, playing golf, and spending time with family and friends.
