Biography

I believe that learning should be joyful, meaningful, and deeply connected to the world around us. As an educator, I’ve been fortunate to teach and consult at forward-thinking schools like Avenues, AltSchool and KhanLab, where I could design project-based, cross-subject curricula that bring ideas to life and inspire students from all walks of life. For me, education is at its best when it blends academic rigor with creativity, nurtures social-emotional growth, and builds a genuine sense of community.

Collaboration fuels my work. As both an educator and entrepreneur, I love partnering with colleagues to design experiences that break down traditional subject boundaries and open doors to deeper understanding. I’m also a passionate advocate for diversity and cultural awareness, believing that the most powerful learning reflects and celebrates the richness of different perspectives.

My journey in education led me to a Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University, and I’ve since dedicated my career to igniting curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning in students of all ages—from K-12 students in the classroom to adult learners at Google. Beyond my professional work, I give back through community events like Tour de Menlo, Alliance for Smiles and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Travel is another passion that shapes who I am. I’ve visited more than 15 countries, drawing inspiration from every culture and community I encounter. At home in Menlo Park, you’ll often find me playing pickle ball and golf with my family, planning my next community service projects and adventure, or dreaming up new ways to connect people, ideas, and possibilities.
