Biography

I joined Menlo’s faculty in 2000 and have been the Middle School Assistant Director since 2012. In the past, I have taught 6th Grade Human Skills, Middle School Japanese, Upper School Asian Studies and been the Middle School Foreign Language Team Leader and Faculty Admissions Associate.

Before Menlo, I taught and served as a writing center tutor at UCSB. I also taught Santa Barbara-area high school students through Upward Bound.

In my spare time, I enjoy discovering yummy restaurants, hiking local trails, playing the flute, watching documentaries and stand-up comedies, doing yoga and volunteer work, and hanging out with my daughter Megumi. I love world languages and have studied Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish.
