Biography

I have worked in Independent Schools for over 26 years. I began my career as a 1st grade assistant and professional choreographer for dance, cheer, TV and, yes, even ice skating. I eventually became the Dean of Students for the 9th and 11th grade. I also taught Human Development for the 7th, 8th and 9th grade. Another passion of mine was coaching volleyball for the 5th grade.

My career took a different path after 12 years and I was fortunate to be a part of a start-up Secondary School in Los Angeles. I was the Admissions Director and Assistant Director of the Upper School, 6-12. This is where I found my calling for Middle School.

The next chapter took me to Chicago, IL where I was the Middle School Head and taught 6th Grade Health for eleven years at a JK-12 Independent School in the northern suburbs of Chicago.

Originally from San Diego, California, it is great to return home and be a part of the Menlo family!

My enjoyments in life are reading, traveling, watching classic black and white movies and spending time with friends and family.
