Biography

I grew up in New York City and earned my B.A. in History from Columbia University. After college, I spent six years working in publishing: first at Penguin Books, and later at Stanford University Press. While volunteering as a tutor at the Redwood City Library, I discovered my love for teaching and decided to pursue a career in education. I enrolled in Stanford’s STEP program, where I earned my M.A. in Education and a California teaching credential.

Since completing the program in 2006, I’ve taught at Leadership Public Schools in Hayward, served as Academic Director for College Track in Oakland, and taught abroad at the International School of Bergen in Norway.

I joined the Menlo School community in 2015 as a History teacher and currently serve as the Director of Institutional Belonging. In this role, I work to create a more inclusive and connected community for all students, faculty, and families. When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my husband, our son, four cats, and one very lovable dog.
