Biography

I joined Menlo’s faculty in 2006 and teach all five levels of Mandarin.

After earning a degree in radio and television broadcasting from World Journalism College, Taipei, Taiwan, I directed, edited and performed in on-air plays. I later moved to the United States in 1989. After receiving my BA in English from San Francisco State University, I taught Mandarin as a teaching assistant while doing my graduate work there. Since then I have been teaching college-level Chinese at various public and private schools in the Bay Area before joining Menlo.

In my spare time I enjoy cooking, reading and spending time with my two children.
