Baseball rallies in 7th to tie Half Moon Bay

The Menlo baseball team forged a 4-4 stalemate with Half Moon Bay after the game was called due to darkness in the eighth inning Tuesday.
The Knights (2-1-1) trailed 4-1, entering the seventh inning. Menlo senior Kiefer Lord singled with two on and two out to drive in senior Max Chou and tie the score at 4. Menlo junior Roland Martinez-Luna singled to lead off the bottom half of the seventh, and senior Ian Collins followed with a hit. Chou reached base on an error and Martinez-Luna scored. Julien Hernandez singled to load the bases, then Collins scored on a groundout.
Lord also delivered a sac fly to score Julien Hernandez, who has walked in the bottom of the sixth.
In the top of the fifth, Menlo catcher Adam Kasser stopped Half Moon Bay runner at home for a second out and the Knights ended the scoring threat picking off a runner at second.
