Changes to This Weekend’s Matilda! Performances

As we have all gotten so good at doing in the past two years, the dedicated cast and crew of Matilda! The Musical is working to turn lemons into lemonade this weekend.
An ensemble number from the all-school musical, Matilda!

With great disappointment, we are reconfiguring this weekend’s presentations of Matilda! due to cases of COVID-19 among some cast members. Our team is hard at work, using their flexibility and ingenuity to bring you an evening that will showcase our talented Matilda! cast members and celebrate their hard work on this production.

In lieu of the live performances originally planned for tonight and tomorrow—Friday, May 20, and Saturday, May 21—we will be presenting a professionally filmed video version of last weekend’s performances. Cast members will be in attendance in the Spieker Center, soaking up your support, and the band will play some of the great musical selections from the show.

Showtime for the video presentation will remain at 7:00 pm on both days, and ticketholders’ seating assignments will be the same. Our attendee policies (see below) remain unchanged. For your enjoyment, concessions will still be offered outdoors before and after the show and during intermission.

We hope that you’ll join us in appreciating the outstanding work of the Matilda! cast on video, but if you would prefer not to attend the video viewing, you may:

1. Donate the ticket price to Menlo. You will receive no refund, but much gratitude.

or

2. Request a refund. Refunds will take 5-10 business days to return to your bank account. If you would like a refund, please contact Meredithe Brown at mebrown@menloschool.org.

Thank you for your support. We’re sorry not to be able to proceed with our live performances, but we’re tremendously proud of our cast and crew for pulling together to ensure that the show can go on in a new form.

A Reminder about Attendee Health & Safety Policies
