Boys’ lacrosse sails to pair of wins

Knights beat Los Gatos, Sequoia
Menlo sailed to a 15-3 win over Sequoia

4.5.2023 –The Menlo boys’ lacrosse team rolled past visiting Los Gatos 17-3 in non-league play Wednesday.
The Knights, who improve to 6-4 overall, took a 13-1 halftime lead.
Senior Lucas Vogel, who is headed to Washington-St. Louis to play basketball next season, collected two goals, an assist, 10 groundballs and five takeaways.
James Wernikoff poured in five goals and Ethan Friesel had four more. Freshman Benjamin Chock made seven saves while Keane Murphy and Nicky Scacco each had two goals and an assist. Bradford Tudor scored twice and Brady Jung added two assists and won 6 of 10 face-offs

 

Menlo 15, Sequoia 3

4.4.2023 – The Menlo boys’ lacrosse team sailed to a 15-3 victory over host Sequoia on Tuesday in non-league play.
Seven Knights scored, led by James Wernikoff with four goals and an assist. Nicky Scacco posted a hat trick while Bradord Tudor and Ethan Friesel each had two goals and an assist.
Keane Murphy scored and assisted on three more. Freshman Trevor Van Der Pyl posted his first prep goal and assisted on another.

Brady Jung scored and won 9 of 10 face-offs while freshman Caden Chock added a goal.
Freshman Benjamin Chock had four saves. Ryan Braat compiled 5 of 6 face-off wins while Max Corbett won 3 of 3 face-offs. Ari Krane had two takeaways and Lucas Vogel and Jacob Chock each had three ground balls
