Volleyball falls to M-A, tops University-SF

Knights move to 6-2 overall

The Menlo School volleyball team upended NorCal Div. II Regional finalist University Prep-San Francisco 20-25, 25-19, 27-25, 25-20 on the road Thursday. 
The Knights improved to 6-2 going into the weekend’s Chris Chandler Invitational. 

Menlo senior outside Cleo Hardin posted 36 kills, hitting .549, three blocks and nine digs. Senior middle Bella Chen delivered 11 kills at a .714 clip and had three blocks. Junior Lily Kautai tallied 61 assists, three aces and Sofia Main had four aces

Menlo-Atherton 3, Menlo School 1

8.29.2023 – In a roller coaster of a match, the Menlo School volleyball dropped a 23-25, 25-15, 15-25, 29-27 decision to Menlo-Atherton on the road Tuesday.
The Knights (5-2) are coming off a fifth-place finish at Spikefest and a five-set win over Aragon.
In Game 4, the teams traded the lead after Menlo climbed back from a deficit. Cleo Hardin delivered one of her 20 kills for the night then delivered an ace to pull to within one 24-23. Bryn Dombkowski landed a kill and Aaliyah Sanders and Lauren Mrva put up a block to tie the match at 26.
Hardin also had six aces. Fellow senior Bella Chen hit. 600 for the night while junior Lily Kautai had 41 assists.
Menlo next plays at University on Thursday then hosts the Chris Chandler Invitational on Saturday.
