The Menlo Knights girls’ basketball team improved to 10-6 overall after a 62-27 non-league victory over Burlingame on Wednesday.
Against the Panthers, Menlo had eight scorers, four of those in double figures: juniors Ruiqi Liu scored 18 and Karen Xin had 13. Seniors Summer Young posted 12 points and Arthi Abhyanker added 10.

Pinewood 71, Menlo 26
The Menlo girls’ basketball team couldn’t find the momentum it had in an earlier close game with Pinewood, and lost handily Tuesday.

Ruiqi Liu, a junior, led the team with 12 points. The Knights (2-1 league) stay in third place in the WBAL Foothill standings.
