Biography

I grew up just outside of Washington, D.C. and come from a family of teachers. After graduating from Wake Forest University, I worked as a teaching resident and tutor at Match Charter Public High School, where I learned that I loved teaching and working with students. After my year in Boston, I moved back to my hometown and taught 9th Grade English and Honors English at KIPP DC College Preparatory High School.

Having only ever lived on the East Coast, I wanted to explore more of the country and experience the amazing weather that all Californians rave about, so I moved to Redwood City, where I taught 9th Grade English at Summit Preparatory Charter High School and then managed a tutoring program and served as a teacher coach. For the past four years, I was the Assistant Director at Summit Shasta, a high school in Daly City. I am incredibly excited to join the Menlo community and get to know the students and families!

When I’m not at school, I love sports (playing them and watching them), cooking, reading, and finding new hikes with beautiful views of the Bay Area.
