Biography
Learning, to me, is a living art form, an unfolding narrative shaped by imagination, creativity, and human connection. Grounded in filmmaking and learning experience design, my doctoral research integrated digital storytelling, fMRI neuroscience, and education to advance the design of experiences that inspire audiences to perceive the world through renewed perspectives and deeper understanding.
For more than twenty years, I have walked alongside young creators and curious minds, helping them expand how they see the world and rediscover the wonder embedded in every story they tell. Before joining Menlo, I served as Dean of Academic Affairs, Professor, and Academic Director in Film and Interactive Media, collaborating with students and colleagues whose creativity and insight continually inspired me to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
I believe every learner carries a quiet ember of potential, waiting for recognition and care. Through close collaboration with families and dedicated mentors, I help that ember grow into a steady flame of confidence, purpose, and a lifelong love of exploration.
Outside the classroom, I draw inspiration from the stillness of mountain trails and the calm of quiet reflection, where silence renews clarity, fosters peace, and ignites new creative possibilities.
