Biography

I first stepped foot on the Menlo campus almost 20 years ago as a 6th grader participating in the Summer Bridge Program, and am so thankful to be back to work with families as we navigate and celebrate our students’ academic lives!

I am a Menlo Park native, first-gen college student, Salvadoran-American, and hold a BA in Economics from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts. Although I started my career in advertising and tech, I have always been a mentor and part-time tutor to grade school and high school students and decided to re-route my career to education by moving to Spain in 2019 and teaching English as a second (and third) language for almost three years.

Prior to Menlo, I worked on the Development and Communications Team at 826 Valencia, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting under-resourced students in developing their writing skills, where I was a tutor before joining the staff.

Outside of work, I like crafting greeting cards, dancing (ballet, flamenco, and salsa), hiking, and learning new languages (and subsequently learning about cultures outside of my own).
