Biography

I am is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over 20 years’ experience treating children, teens, parents and families in clinic and school-based settings. Following completing my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy, I started my career in 2000, working in Boston doing short-term family stabilization and treatment with children, teens and families. I returned to the Bay Area and joined the Children’s Health Council in 2002, in the EBC School as a therapist and clinical program manager for10 years. In 2012, I took time off to start my family and then returned to CHC’s clinical services 5 years later.

I am competent in both long-term depth psychotherapy as well as short-term/crisis management work. My clinical focus is on teens and families struggling with depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, ADHD, LD and high functioning Autism. I use a variety of modalities, primarily Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and has facilitated DBT groups for teens in the CHC RISE IOP and CHC Catherine T. Harvey Center for Clinical Services. I am also trained in art therapy interventions and I tailor therapy to each client’s unique experience and goals. My primary focus is on creating a trusting, collaborative, creative, humorous and supportive relationship between therapist and client.

I enjoy free time with my husband and four children exploring the beaches and woods of the Bay Area, as well as, cooking, reading and indulging my intense love of Premier League soccer.
