Biography

I joined Menlo’s faculty in 1996 and have taught a variety of science courses since then, most recently including Biology, Chemistry and Biotechnology Research.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UC Santa Cruz, where I thoroughly enjoyed walking through the redwoods each day on my way to the lab. From there, I moved to the big city to do research in cellular and developmental neurobiology and ultimately received my PhD in Neuroscience from UC San Francisco.

My personal interests include hanging out with my five-year-old twin boys, making pottery, cooking and doing yoga.
