Math Teacher and JV Lacrosse Coach

Biography

I came to Menlo School in 2015 to coach the JV Boys’ Lacrosse team and work in Academic Support.

I received a BS in Physics from Pacific Lutheran University, where I was very active in student government, academic support, and a member of men’s club lacrosse. After graduating, I started to work as an academic coach, helping students master math and science subjects, as well as build academic skills, such as time management, critical thinking, and organization. I came to the Bay Area in 2013 to manage the test prep division of local education company in order to produce prep books, train new coaches, work with families to develop education plans, and help students in myriad subjects from Physics to Geometry to English to the ACT.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, cooking new recipes, reading, and traveling. My most recent adventure took me to Guatemala, where I explored the ancient Mayan city of Tikal and the former capital city Antigua, just days after a volcanic eruption!
