Biography

I am originally from New York City, where I attended two small independent schools, The Brearley School and Concord Academy. After graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from USC, I spent two years as a journalist with Wired magazine. Concurrently, I tutored students at schools such as Marin Academy and The Branson School in college essay writing, English, and SAT/ACT test prep before running the Bay Area wing of Revolution Prep, a national education organization. I loved working with students so much that I decided to pursue a joint Master’s degree and teaching credential from Stanford University. Prior to joining Menlo in 2016, I spent three years as an AP English teacher and mentor at Summit Preparatory Charter High School in Redwood City.

When I’m not at school, I love turning off my brain and diving into long runs, yoga, tennis, knitting, and multi-hour cupcake bake-a-thons.
