Biography
In my role as an Upper School Wellness Counselor, I provide emotional, social, and mental health support to the student body. I have a passion for promoting healthy and balanced students, empowering student voice and self-advocacy, addressing topics of diversity and inclusion, and partnering with parents and teachers. In addition to serving as a counselor, I teach the Human Sexuality and Sexual Health course in the 9th Grade Seminar program and teach an elective course called Teen Health, Wellness, and Life Skills.
I graduated with a B.A. in psychology from Middlebury College, and began my career as a classroom teacher. After a few years of teaching, I went to Harvard’s Graduate School of Education, where I earned my license as a school counselor/social worker with a focus on adolescence. I have worked in public and independent schools in Washington, D.C., Boston, and San Francisco. As a career educator, I have taught courses in Spanish, Psychology, and Wellness/Adolescence, and coached soccer and track.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring the Bay Area with my wife and daughter, hiking, cooking, and following the US national soccer teams.
