Girls’ golf takes 2nd at WBAL Championships

The Menlo girls’ golf team took second place at the WBAL Championships at Baylands Golf Links in Palo Alto on Wednesday.
The Knights scored 411; Harker took first with a 370 and Notre Dame-San Jose was third with 473. Sacred Heart Prep (496) and Mercy-Burlingame were fourth and fifth with 496 and 509.
Seniors Gianna Inguagiato and Sulwen Ma shot 77s to lead the way for the Knights. Senior Vikki Xu shot a 79 and sophomore Taylor Baik an 80. Junior Sarah Fujimori carded a 98 and senior Samantha Stevens 120.
The Knights will find out their postseason fate after the league entries are submitted Thursday.
