Swimmers launch season with CCS-qualifying times

Knights with a fast start 
Menlo senior Emory Tudor qualified for CCS in the 100 back and the 400 free relay.

​3.12.2022 - The Menlo School swimmers jumped out of the blocks with a strong start ​and ​CCS qualifiers in five events at the Small Schools Invite ​on Saturday at Sacred Heart Prep.​Sophomore Connor Grant, who won the 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly, also qualified in the 400 free relay. The Knights took second in the boys’ ​ 400 ​free relay with Grant, Hunter Ryerson, Jackson Coleman and ​​Michael Fang.
Menlo senior Emory Tudor, who is set to swim at Amherst next year, took second in the 100 backstroke and qualified for CCS. Tudor also won the 100 free, and swam a leg on the CCS-qualifying 400 free relay with Sage Huddleston, Annika Porteous and Eden Chuang. ​
​Menlo swept the boys’ 100 free with Grant, Fang and Ryerson going 1-2-3. ​Junior Andrew Tung placed second in the 100 IM. Chuagn took third in the 100 breast stroke. Menlo next swims Wednesday when it hosts a WBAL opener
