Runners shine at Westmoor Invite
Landon Pretre wins Varsity race
Closer to home, the Menlo cross country runners had another standout showing at the Westmoor Ram Invitational on Saturday.
Sophomore Landon Pretre won gold, taking first among 220 runners across two varsity boys races. Pretre covered the 2.7-mile course in 13:35. Will Hauser was 10th in 14:18 and Aiden Deffner 12th in 14:24. Alex Boesch was 38th in 15:18, James Yue, Joshua Benyo Baker, and Asher Lev helped the Knights to a second-place team finish just three points behind Bellarmine.
In the varsity girls’ race, Ariya Kaushek placed third in 16:17 and Devon Tussing-Adkinson 13th in 17:53. Anya Ramani and Anya Kothari boosted the Knights freshman quartet.
