Girls’ tennis gives Challenge Cup to Monta Vista

8.29.2023 – The Menlo girls’ tennis team handed the Challenge Cup to Monta Vista after falling 4-2 in their annual match at Alpine Hills Swimming and Tennis Club in Portola Valley on Tuesday.

In the season-opening match, top seed Andra Braicu won 6-4, 6-2. Sophomore Elise Chen lost a tight match 3-6, 7-6 (1), 10-7 at No. 2 and freshman Emily Li picked up a 7-5, 6-0 win. 

Kate Hsia and Izzy Klugman, juniors, lost 6-3, 6-4 at No.1 doubles.
