Girls’ soccer shuts out Harker

Knights move into second-place tie in WBAL

Menlo junior Roya Rezaee clinched the win with a goal in the second half
The Menlo girls’ soccer team picked up a 1-0 West Bay Athletic League win Tuesday over visiting Harker to move into a tie for second place in league.
The Knights and Notre Dame-Belmont, which tied Notre Dame-San Jose on Tuesday, both are 3-1-2 with 11 points and four games remaining.
Against Harker, Menlo broke the tie when junior Roya Rezaee scored with 38:45 left in the game.
Bianca Putanec, a sophomore, and the Knights defense preserved the shutout.
