Boys’ soccer posts pair of WBAL shutouts

Knights top Eastside on Senior Day and defeat Priory

Boosting its league record to 10-2, the Menlo boys’ soccer team posted a 4-0 win over host Priory.

The Knights locked into a 0-0 draw at halftime before rolling in the second.

Menlo improved to 10-2-0, and still holds onto the league lead.

Seniors Eric Schmidtke scored twice and Alessandro Velazquez had a goal and assist as did junior Gabriel Gil. Senior Yasin Abdulkariem & sophomore Reed Sunwoo each had an assist.

2.7.2024 – After Alessandro Velazquez’s hat trick and two own goals, one on a corner kick served by Declan Sitter, the Menlo boys’ soccer team defeated Eastside 5-0 on Wednesday at home.
