Girls’ soccer closes week with win

Knights improve to 4-3-2 WBAL, and have locked up an automatic bid to CCS

The Menlo girls’ soccer team picked up a 3-1 win over Notre Dame-San Jose in WBAL play on the road Friday.
The Knights improved to 4-3-2 in league and 8-6-5 overall. They have a game remaining but have locked up the third automatic qualifying spot for CCS.
In Menlo’s 3-1 win Friday:
Lily Nye scored from 20 yards out just before the half. Roya Rezaee stole the ball in the box and chipped it over the goalie in the 62nd minute. Lila Gold made a steal and converted for a 3-0 lead in the 70th minute.
The Knights dropped a 3-0 decision at Notre Dame-Belmont earlier in the week.
