Renner Barnett drove in the winning run in the 8th of Menlo's 7-6 win over Saratoga

The Menlo School baseball team got a walkoff single from sophomore Renner Barnett in the eighth inning for a 7-6 win over Saratoga on Thursday.

The Knights and Falcons were tied 6-6 with none out after Jake Sonsini came in on Chuck Wynn’s hit.

With two out in the seventh, Chuck Wynn scored on a wild pitch, Renner Barnett added another run on a groundout. Luke Rogers doubled to drive in Jacob Lee and tie the score at five and force extras.

Menlo countered Saratoga’s five-run sixth with a rally that began with Garrett Tran’s RBI single. Saratoga led 5-1, heading into the seventh.Sophomore Jackson Flanagan allowed three hits and a run in two innings for the win.

Justice Andrews drove in three runs for Saratoga.
