Cameras and Voices and Drums, Oh My!

Spring is the time for arts events! Check out this year’s final photography and AP Arts exhibits along with chorus, orchestra and jazz performances.

Spring Photo Exhibit, Sale and Reception
Thursday, April 24, 6:00-9:00 pm, CADC. More than 200 prints on display by photography students. Join us at the reception to meet the photographers. All proceeds support Menlo’s photography program. Photos on display until May 1.

Jazz Band Spring Concert
Thursday, April 24, 7:00 pm, Martin Family Hall. Check out the photo exhibit, then swing by for the rockin’-est, swingin’-est, groovin’-est concert as the Jazz Band performs tunes old and new.

Orchestra Spring Concert
Friday, Apr. 25, 7:30-9:00 pm, CADC gallery. Menlo Orchestra’s spring concert honors seniors! Come hear the orchestra show its flair and musical power in Rimsky Korsakov’s Russian Easter for orchestra, Holst’s Mars from the Planets, Mendelssohn’s Octet for strings (first movement), and Dvorak’s Cello Concerto (first movement). Admission free; refreshments provided. Clarion Brass performs Mahler at 7:15 pm; Menlo Orchestra begins at 7:30 pm.

AP Arts Presentation and Exhibit
Tuesday, Apr. 29, 7:00-9:00 pm, Martin Family Hall and CADC gallery. Join us in Martin from 7:00-8:00 pm as AP Art students present slideshows of their portfolios, the culmination of their work, and meet the artists at the reception and display in the CADC gallery afterwards. 8:00-9:00 pm.

Broadway Pops Choral Concert
Thursday, May 16, 12:15 pm, CADC gallery. Join the singers as they celebrate the music of Stephen Schwartz!
