Sam was one of only a few hundred out of several hundred thousand students across the country who, after taking a challenging math exam, qualified for the USA Mathematical Olympiad. Sam sat for a six-question, nine-hour essay/proof examination in a quest to join a six-member team that will represent the U.S. at the International Mathematical Olympiad.
